Magster, Big, Bad Cycling Sunglasses
and by bad I mean really, really good.
A couple of months ago Rudy Project introduced their new Magster frame and after a bit of time on the market the verdict is in. This frame is hot. Many frame/lens combos are already out of stock and many more hard to find as well. So what’s to love?
The lenses are big, measuring in at 71mm these lenses are big even in the world of sports wrap sunglasses. You are sure to get all of the protection you need from these shades and more. The big lenses are available in numerous colors offering numerous benefits. Rudy’s lens technology is not to be questioned and they bring it to you in the Magter in form or mirrored laser options, impactx durability, photochromic and polarized offerings as well. They have also made this frame fully RX-able, available in both their Direct RX option and RX insert program.
The frame colors are current ranging from the ever popular matte black to flurorescent yellow, racing white with red or blue accents, a frozen ash option, clear and frozen brown- perfect for those folks who just can’t get enough tortoise like eyewear.
Air vents in the newly engineered emblem prevent fogging and fully adjustable nose pieces and temples ensure an optimal fit. The frames are superlightweight weighing in at just over 1 ounce and measure in at a total of 71-11-137.

Top Cycling Eyewear Candidates
When it comes to cycling safety, eyewear can be just as important as a helmet. They protect your eyes from debris and wind. Reduce tearing and improve vision. The proper pair of cycling sunglasses will enhance contrast, reduce glare, and of course protect your eyes. We have compiled a list of some of the top sunglasses for the serious cyclist.
Things to consider when purchasing a pair of sport sunglasses not only the tint, but the shape as well. If the sunglasses wrap too tight, they may fog up in warmer weather. Adequate air flow is required. If they are too large, they may fall and slip as you are riding. Streamlined temples are convenient and more comfortable for wear under a helmet. Brands like Rudy Project, Rec Specs and Wiley X all specialize in sport sunglasses suitable for cycling.
